About Us
Peninsular Technologies was incorporated in 1998 by founder Gary McAleenan in response to a growing need for continuous inspection of water, gas, and oil pipelines. Peninsular Technologies sister company, Peninsular Oil and Gas, was founded in 1959 by Gary's father George. Both companies are headquartered in Ada, Michigan, a suburb of Grand Rapids and Michigan’s second largest city.
Today, Peninsular's PipeTech division serves municipalities and private operations throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Caribbean, as well as overseas in Europe and Australia. To put this in perspective, PipeTech's video inspection systems record more than 6,000 miles of pipeline per year, which is the equivalent of the distance from New York City to Los Angeles and back annually, or twice around the globe since our founding. To safeguard this data, PipeTech also provides tape conversion and storage on its server, for easy access and historical record keeping.

In 2007, Peninsular Technologies expanded its line of advanced digital vision inspection systems by forming its DigiSight Division. Current applications and industries include food processing, label/packaging inspection, health care and rehabilitation video analysis.
As we continue to grow, we are excited about the endless possibilities for our inspection technology. We welcome the opportunity to share our vision with you.
